Who is eligible for a Forest Park Public Library Card?
All Forest Park residents over the age of five are eligible to receive a free library card. Residents of other towns, villages and cities in Illinois may use the Forest Park Public Library if they have a valid library card from their public library. How to get your Forest Park Public Library Card?
Library card applications must be filled out and signed at the Circulation Desk. You must present at least one photo ID such as a driver’s license or state ID and one proof of residency.
Acceptable proofs of residency are:
-Printed bank check
-A voter’s registration card
-A current utility bill
How to get a card for children and teens?
-Children ages five and up are eligible for a library card. A parent or guardian must accompany a child or teen when applying for a card. Proof of Forest Park residency is required. Parents/guardians are responsible for all material checked out on a child’s card. There are no restrictions on the types of materials checked out by juveniles.
