What is Project Kindness?
Project Kindness is a district-wide initiative to help our students, at all grade levels, understand the importance of showing kindness to others. As part of Project Kindness, students create labels with personal expressions of kindness and perform acts of kindness through lessons and special activities. These unique labels are distributed to retail businesses in Forest Park during "Kindness Week" in early February. Retailers are asked to share the colorful labels - on a coffee cup, takeout container, shopping bag - with their customers who are encouraged to snap a picture of their label and share it on social media with the hashtag #District91Cares!
Project Kindness is made possible through the amazing efforts of District 91 students, staff and administrators and supported by the Forest Park Chamber of Commerce, the Forest Park Public Library, the Park District of Forest Park, and the Village of Forest Park. In 2021, Kindness Week is scheduled for the week of February 8th.
We will keep the community updated on plans for Project Kindness during the 2020-2021 school year. For information regarding sponsorships or participation in Project Kindness please contact Scott Dunnell at email@example.com.
