As specified under Illinois School Code Section 5, “beginning with the 2009-2010 school year, a school district must incorporate into the school curriculum a component on Internet safety to be taught at least once each school year to students in grade 3 or above.”
District 91 incorporates internet safety and digital citizenship into our library curriculum for all students in grades K-8. All teachers reinforce what is taught throughout the school year. PBIS cool tools are being created to assist in the teaching and reinforcing of these appropriate digital citizenship behaviors.
