A Message from the D91 Interim Superintendent

Dear Forest Park Community,

I have been trying my best every day to inspire, develop, and support innovative practices. Serving as your Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations for the past three years has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my educational career.

As the new Interim Superintendent of Forest Park School District 91, I will work to build upon the district’s positive momentum and help steward a school system that reflects the excellence all children deserve.

I believe that what defines a true learning leader is their ability to inspire, develop, and support professional growth for all. Sadly, as a child, only three of my 17 teachers encouraged my creative risk-taking aributes. I am forever indebted to those three phenomenal individuals for transforming my life.

I am a progressive, visionary leader who knows there is no more honorable service than improving the lives of children. I am also humbled by this Board’s belief in my leadership and the opportunity to build upon the legacy of FPSD 91.

As I continue to grow, I will challenge our leadership ensembles to do the same using data-driven benchmarks to advance strategic inflection points that lead to continuous improvement.

The goal of this 90-day plan is to provide a roadmap for a successful transition process. You’ll noce that much of this plan focuses on listening and learning—not for the sake of it, but to embody my collaborative spirit.

I invite your thoughtful review of this offering. The work of serving the Forest Park community cannot be done in isolation. The task is too great, and the stakes are too high. Through the engagement opportunities outlined in this plan, I am confident we will exceed the Board’s priorities, capture the voices of many, and closely assess our processes and procedures.
