The Forest Park Middle School Varsity Girls Basketball team has made history! For the first time since 2003, the Panthers have secured the Salt Creek Conference Championship, finishing their season undefeated at 12-0.

In a thrilling championship game, the Panthers defeated second-place Hauser (Riverside) 28-18, showcasing incredible teamwork and determination. Brooke Williams led the offensive charge with 14 points, while Haydin Dunigan added 8 points, and Layla Ortiz contributed 6 clutch points with key three-pointers that halted Hauser’s momentum. Defensively, Ailey Jones dominated with 12 rebounds and 12 blocked shots, ensuring the Panthers maintained control of the game.

This historic victory was a total team effort, with Juliet Harrington, Rowan Marello, and Isyss Williams stepping up defensively and making hustle plays throughout. The Panthers' success was made possible under the leadership of Coach Heath Mills and Mr. Deven Parker, who helped guide the team to victory.

Principal Watson praised the team’s performance, stating:
"Our Panther scholars are champions on and off the court! Our girls' basketball team worked hard, learned from and supported each other, met academic expectations, and demonstrated incredible teamwork and chemistry. They exemplified ROAR: Respect, Ownership, Achievement, and Readiness. Proud Panther Principal!"
