Dear Forest Park Community,
We are thrilled to share some important and exciting news from last night’s Special Board of Education Meeting!
First, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Elizabeth Alvarez, who has voluntarily stepped down from her role as Superintendent, effective immediately. We sincerely thank her for her dedicated service to Forest Park School District 91 and wish her all the best as she embarks on new professional adventures.
Now, for the exciting part—we are absolutely delighted to announce that Dr. Robert Hubbird, our current Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations, has been unanimously appointed as Interim Superintendent and Chief School Business Official (CSBO), effective immediately.
Dr. Hubbird brings a wealth of experience, passion, and deep commitment to our district. He is uniquely positioned to lead Forest Park Schools with strength, stability, and vision. Under his leadership, we will continue the incredible momentum of our current Strategic Plan through June 30, 2026, and begin building a bold and inclusive new vision through an engaging process with the entire Forest Park community. On behalf of the entire Board of Education, we are overjoyed and energized by what lies ahead for our students, staff, and families. We cannot wait to see the amazing achievements the 2025–2026 school year will bring!

Join us for our Back to School Celebration on August 12, 2025, from 4–7 PM behind the Roos Recreation Center.
It will be a fantastic opportunity to reconnect, celebrate, and kick off the school year together!
And don’t forget—the first day of school for K–8 students is August 19th! We can’t wait to welcome everyone back with energy and excitement!
