Members of the Forest Park Middle School and Field Stevenson Garden Clubs joined the Village of Forest Park for a special tree planting along Ferdinand Avenue! The planting was part of a Tree Planting Grant awarded to the Village through Trees Forever, adding 20 new trees to our community this fall. Students learned about the environmental, health, and community benefits of trees and how they help create a greener, healthier neighborhood.

💙💛 Celebrating Inclusion: Blue and Yellow Day for Down Syndrome Awareness Month 💙💛

Garfield staff proudly wore blue and yellow today in recognition of Down Syndrome Awareness Month!

This special day is about celebrating inclusion, kindness, and the unique gifts every individual brings to our school community. By wearing blue and yellow, our staff showed their support for students and families with Down syndrome and reinforced our commitment to creating a school environment where everyone belongs.

Thank you to all of our teachers, staff, and students who participated and helped spread such a powerful message of acceptance and love.

The suspense has been building and the moment we’ve all been waiting for happened today at Garfield….. The new preschool mascot has been announced and we are proud to introduce the Preschool Puffins!

Families voted during Garfield’s Family Connection Night and the puffin was the clear favorite. Students went home with a new water bottle, a pom pom and an order form for new spirit wear to proudly rep their new mascot! Thank you to all the families who joined us for Quick Coffee this past week! We loved the chance to meet with caregivers, share a cup of coffee, and give space for families to connect with one another. These simple conversations mean a lot, and we look forward to keeping the dialogue going and finding more ways to connect throughout the school year.

District 91 Hosts October Town Hall!

Forest Park School District 91 invites families, students, and community members to attend its upcoming Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, October 2 at 6:30 p.m. at Forest Park Middle School, 925 Beloit Avenue .

The evening will provide an engaging opportunity for open conversation, listening, and brainstorming around the topics that matter most to our school community. Participants will be encouraged to share their perspectives and ideas to help shape the district’s priorities moving forward.

District leaders emphasize that feedback gathered during the Town Hall, together with insights from past events, will play an important role in guiding the district’s future planning and decision-making.
